I’ve got a new book on the nightstand next to my bed and stacked with Heaven by Randy Alcorn. It’s Linda Evans Sheperd’s new book on prayer, Experiencing God’s Presence/Learning to Listen While You Pray.While reading this Revell inspirational book, at times you will experience a stab of tears and need tissues close by.
Especially appreciated her chapter “Experience God’s Healing Power” where she notes, “Some people are healed on this side of heaven, while others are healed upon entering heaven after a long, grueling battle here on earth.” I so related that to the passing of my husband, Stephen Bly, and his 5-year struggle with cancer. Many prayers offered on his behalf to sustain and strengthen him in his fight. He is now healed. Forever.
