Will Stuart Brannon lose his beloved ranch to the Casa Verde Land Corporation?

In this fourth tale of this book series western, at long last Stuart Brannon hit the homeward trail to his Arizona ranch. But if he hoped to settle down to the quiet life of a cattleman, he miscalculated. When Brannon rode into his spread, he found it occupied by gunmen. The Casa Verde Land Corporation claimed to hold a Spanish land grant on the property. Enraged, the ex-lawman drove the intruders off.
Before the gunmen could return with reinforcements, some of Brannon’s friends and neighbors descended on the ranch. The party included a contingent of soldiers tracking down a band of Apaches and Miss Harriet Reed. Miss Reed found the Triple-B’s owner increasingly attractive. Meanwhile, they all hunkered down to defend the ranch from fifty hired guns with a cannon.
Now Brannon must fight for the only thing left in his life worth holding onto — his ranch, the burial place of his wife and son. For Brannon, right and wrong were perfectly clear, but the price of being right staggered him, especially when innocent people might have to pay.
